Central Drainlaying Limited was established in 2013 by Nigel McKinlay based on his experience working on Queenstown Lakes District Council, Central Otago District Council and Aurora Energy underground asset networks.

Expert Care with a Local Touch

Central Drainlaying Limited currently employs a team of 13. The team is based from Cromwell which allows us to conveniently cover the Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes area and are led by Director, Nigel McKinlay and supported by Contracts Manger, Rodger Dawson. Both Nigel and Rodger are qualified drainlayers who have over 30 years experience each in the drainage, three waters operations and maintenance and civil construction industries. The team also consists of a number of Certifying Drainlayers, Tradesman Drainlayers, Apprentice Drainlayers and Skilled Labourers. Central Drainlaying has an extensive array of specialist plant and equipment covering from site offices and site containers, 4WD utility vehicles, trailers, excavators, GPS survey equipment, laser levels, PE pipe welding equipment, fire hydrant test kits, pressure test and chlorination equipment and pipe lasers.
